Mrs. Greer and the FCMS Robotics Team competed in the 3rd VEX Robotics Competition in Danville. While this was their second competition of the season, it was their very first time ever competing in this competition, and our students showed up ready. They stepped out of their comfort zones, worked together, problem-solved, and represented FCMS with so much pride. Competing alongside 30 teams is no small feat, and they handled it like pros! Moments like these are why we do what we do; watching students grow, take risks, and believe in themselves. Mrs. Greer expressed immense pride in each and every one of them and said she is already excited to see what they will accomplish next year!

What a great fun evening! Our first Fort Chiswell Middle School Game Night Game Night was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came out, played games, shared laughs, and supported our Honors Club Christmas Cheer Program. Because of this amazing community, we’re one step closer to making the next holidays brighter for families in need this season. A group of 6th and 7th graders from Fort Chiswell and Rural Retreat visited Holston Mountain Artisans in Abingdon earlier this week. Students could either sign up for classes in weaving or woodworking. The finished products in weaving were beautiful baskets, and the students in woodworking carved cherries and fish. #fcmsisoutofthisworld #wythecountyschools
