‼️IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR JUNE SCHEDULE‼️ Due to the middle school gym floor being redone, we are having to move our open gyms to Jackson Memorial Elementary School for June. This will be every Tuesday & Thursday from 8-9:30. Note this will only be four dates: June 9, June 11, June 16, & June 18 - dead period is from June 21-July 7, so no workouts/open gyms for those two weeks! We are hoping to get back to FC after the dead period but will update everyone on the July schedule as soon as we can! Email Coach Jackson at kamdyn.jackson@wythek12.org if you have any questions!! We hope to see you June 9! 🏐💛🖤

Fort Chiswell Middle School won the first ever countywide reading initiative called Reading is Rewarding. Students were encouraged to raise their Lexile reading scores throughout the year by increasing scores on their diagnostic tests, reading books and taking quizzes, or both. Students who met the requirements of the program get to go on a reward trip to Carowinds the last week of school. Congratulations Pioneers on a job well done! #fcmsisoutofthisworld #wythecountyschools

Mrs. Greer and the FCMS Robotics Team competed in the 3rd VEX Robotics Competition in Danville. While this was their second competition of the season, it was their very first time ever competing in this competition, and our students showed up ready. They stepped out of their comfort zones, worked together, problem-solved, and represented FCMS with so much pride. Competing alongside 30 teams is no small feat, and they handled it like pros! Moments like these are why we do what we do; watching students grow, take risks, and believe in themselves. Mrs. Greer expressed immense pride in each and every one of them and said she is already excited to see what they will accomplish next year!
